Hey people, shocking title am I right? I promise it’s not a click bait. But before we move on, how have you been? It’s been a while, I know and I offer my apologies. I’ve been alright, just taking it one day at a time. We made meatpies the other day at home and it was really nice too. Also, discovered this new place in my area where they make really great shawarma. Might even get one today π. Anyways, enough about me, how have you been? Let me know down below. Now, to the post of today.
You’re enough, I’m sure you’ve heard this a million and one times and it’s true. You are beautiful enough, you’re special enough, talented enough, never doubt that. But sometimes, you’re not enough and that’s fine too. Let me explain.
Have you ever been in love with someone, so in love you cannot begin to imagine what your life would be like without them. But for some reason, even with them loving you just as much, y’all can’t be together? And then you start to wonder why, where did you go wrong? Why aren’t you enough?
People go through a lot of shit and have a whole lot demons and we always want to believe it’s gonna be us. We’re gonna pull them from that threshold, we’ll be enough reason for them to keep living and then we aren’t. We start to doubt ourselves, wondering why we weren’t enough for them to fight for, why our love and everything isn’t enough. Baby boo, you are enough, but sometimes you just aren’t enough for others and that’s fine.
Sometimes, you aren’t even enough for yourself. You feel inadequate, your self love is absent, we all have those days and then there are those things that help complete us. Great friends that remind us that we are enough and even if we aren’t, they would be for us.
There used to be a time I felt bad that my happiness and joy is dependent on people, that it’s dependant on my friends and family because I felt like the contentment should come from within. I realized that even when it comes from within, it’s as a result of what is all around us. It’s as a result of friends, family, fulfilment at your job, success at school, and so many other factors. The key is in allowing yourself be happy and grateful for those things.
So, it’s alright to feel you aren’t enough because really you aren’t, not always at least. You need assistance from friends and families. To help you fight your battles, to remind you of your worth on bad days, to help you stay happy. And it’s definitely not your fault that you weren’t enough to help someone fight their demons, that’s not your responsibility and it’s not as a result of your own worth. Just their state of mind.
I tell you today that allow others to complete you, find happiness in your friends, your job, your studies, career, hobbies and anything else and it’ll surely radiate through you. Do not get caught up in whether or not you feel enough and remember, your friends are there to complete you on bad days just as you are to complete them too. That’s how it should be.
So, that’s it. Do you agree with this or you have a counter opinion? I’ll love to hear all about it in the comment section π. Thank you for reading. Till next time, stay safe, stay sane and stay healthy. I love y’all.
